What a couples session feels like

A couples session can feel intimate, playful, editorial, or quiet. The best frames come out of movement and closeness rather than posing, so I give a little direction and then let you interact while the light and the location do their work.

Red Rock Canyon, Calico Basin, Floyd Lamb Park, the Strip, and Fremont Street each create a completely different mood, from wide desert quiet to neon after dark. Engagements, anniversaries, proposals, and no-occasion sessions all run the same way.

Couples photography questions

How long is a couples or engagement session?
Couples and engagement sessions run 30 minutes at one location.

When is the best time for couples photos in Las Vegas?
The hour before sunset is the easiest light to work in. For Strip and Fremont Street sessions, the half hour after sunset gives you neon with some colour still in the sky.

What should we wear?
Simple textures, warm neutrals, and soft earth tones work beautifully in the desert. Choose two outfits that sit well together rather than matching exactly, and wear shoes you can walk in.

We are not photogenic. Will this be awkward?
This is the most common worry, and it is exactly why the session is built on movement instead of posing. You get clear direction the whole way through, so you never have to invent something to do.

Can you photograph a surprise proposal?
Yes. Send the date, the location you have in mind, and roughly how it will unfold, and we will plan where I can work from without giving it away.

When will we get our photos?
For most sessions your finished gallery is delivered within 72 hours through a private online gallery.
