What a newborn session feels like

Newborn sessions are slow, safe, and unhurried. We work in the soft light of your own home, follow your baby’s pace, and leave plenty of room for feeding, changing, and settling. Nothing gets forced.

I use simple, secure setups and photograph the small first details: fingers and toes, the curve of a cheek, a brand-new yawn. When you want them, we add relaxed images with parents and older siblings so the whole family is in the story.

Every session includes planning help before the day, patient direction in the moment, careful editing, and a private online gallery. I photograph newborns across the Las Vegas valley and along the San Diego coast.

A session that follows your baby

We work at your baby’s pace, pause whenever we need to, and stay with simple secure poses. Calm matters more than the shot list.

Your home, your light

Sessions happen where you already are. I find the softest window in the house and work there, so nobody has to pack a newborn into a car.

Parents and siblings included

Older brothers and sisters, both parents, and grandparents if they are in town. The gallery should hold the whole first week, not only the baby.

Newborn photography questions

When should we schedule a newborn session?
The first few weeks are ideal, while newborns sleep deeply and curl easily. Older newborns still photograph beautifully, so reach out whenever you are ready. Booking during pregnancy makes the timing much easier.

Is the session safe for the baby?
Always. Sessions stay slow and gentle, the poses are simple and secure, and I follow your baby’s cues. We pause as often as we need to for feeding, changing, and soothing.

Can parents and siblings be in the photos?
Yes. Newborn sessions can include you, your partner, and older siblings, so the gallery captures the whole family in these first quiet days.

Where does the session happen?
In your home. It is the calmest place for a newborn, the light is usually better than people expect, and nobody has to pack a car. I photograph across Las Vegas and along the San Diego coast.

How long is a newborn session?
Newborn sessions run 60 minutes, and the pace is deliberately slow. Feeding and settling breaks are part of the hour, not an interruption to it.
