Information you provide

If you contact me through this website's form, by email, phone, social message, or through the booking service, I may receive the details you choose to share. That can include your name, contact information, session preferences, date or location interests, information a parent or guardian shares about children participating in a session, and the contents of your message. The website form also records whether you checked the news preference; checking it does not subscribe you to a mailing list.

Please do not send payment-card numbers, government identification, or other sensitive information by email or through this website.

Information collected when you visit

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as your IP address, browser, approximate location, referring page, and pages requested, to serve and protect the site. I do not use Google Analytics or Metricool tracking on this site.

This site links to the separate booking service at studio.jblake.photo and to Instagram, Facebook, and Threads. Those services may collect information when you use them.

How information is used

Information may be used to respond to an inquiry, discuss or schedule a photography session, deliver requested services, communicate about an existing booking, maintain the website, and protect the site and business from misuse.

I do not need information that is unrelated to those purposes. If a future service changes how information is used, this page should be updated.

Photographs and client galleries

Photographs created during a booked session, private gallery links, and delivery records may be handled as part of providing the photography service. Any permission to publish or use client photographs for promotion should follow the session agreement or release. This privacy notice does not replace those terms.

Service providers and sharing

Cloudflare hosts the site and stores a private backup of website form inquiries. Formspree processes those inquiries and sends me email notifications. Information may also be shared with providers that operate the booking process, provide communication tools, process a payment, or deliver a service you request. It may be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to protect people, property, or the security of the site.

I do not sell personal information as a business practice. This statement does not change the independent processing or advertising choices of third-party platforms you visit.

Keeping information

Information is kept for as long as it is reasonably needed to respond to you, provide a service, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, or protect the business. The appropriate period depends on the type of information and the reason it was collected. Formspree's Free plan keeps submission history for 30 days. The private Cloudflare backup does not currently have an automatic deletion schedule.

Your choices

You can choose not to provide optional information, although that may make it impossible to answer an inquiry or arrange a session. You can ask what personal information I hold about you, request a correction, or ask a question about its use by contacting me. Some requests may need to be handled by the third-party service that collected the information.

You can also control cookies and similar technologies through your browser. Blocking them may affect the separate booking service or other sites linked here.

Information about children

This website and its booking process are intended for adults. A parent or guardian should provide any information needed to plan a session involving a child. If you believe a child submitted personal information directly through the site, please use the contact information below.

Updates to this policy

This policy may be updated when the site, booking process, or service providers change. The effective date at the top shows when this version was last reviewed.
